The Yankees are elitist… so it took me a minute to catch the joke. Its amazing how humor can start rumor. It is known too, that most young adults get a lot of their news and political attitudes from watching late night comedy. The “news” is full of stuff that acts just like this article read at TheOnion.com

I almost believed it was true. Listen to what Jetter is made to say. I quote, ”Try to remember that the Yankees are blessed by God himself,” Jeter added. “If God wanted us to be a wild-card team, He would have done so when He created the Yankees over 100 years ago.”
To me, a poor Red Sox fan, this sounds almost like something the Yankees might really do. But its just for fun. Isn’t it?
